We investigate the category of discrete topological spaces, with emphasis on inverse systems of height ω1. Their inverse limits belong to the class of P -spaces, which allows us to explore dimensional types of these spaces.

Abstract A T 1 space in which the intersection or any countably many open sets is open, is called a P-space. In the present paper some basic topological properties of these spaces are studied. Three… Expand

We develop category-theoretic framework for universal homogeneous objects, with some applications in the theory of Banach spaces, linear orderings, and in topology of compact spaces.

Abstract W. W. Comfort, in collaboration with A. Kato and S. Shelah, explored the problem of determining which spaces Y satisfy that for every 2-coloring of βω there will be a monochromatic copy of… Expand

The present paper deals with two distinct, though related, questions, concerning the ring C(X, R) of all continuous real-valued functions on a completely regular topological space X. The first of… Expand

A topological space is said to be totally paracompact [4] if every open basis contains a locally finite cover. It is known [2] that no reflexive infinite-dimensional Banach space is totally… Expand
